A fresh, fun, outspoken and individual voice on national radio and TV.
Best known from her national radio shows on the Nova network with Ryan Shelton and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli. Monty hosted her own weekend Breakfast show ‘Saturday Morning Monty’ for the Nova network until last year.
2013 sees Monty take on the role of Team Captain in a new comedy quiz show, Tractor Monkeys on ABC1 alongside Dave O'Neil and host Merrick Watts. Monty is currently recording podcasts with NOVA 100's Kate Langbroek and Twentysomething's Jess Harris, called The Road More Travelled.
In early 2013 Monty co-founded and launched a new webventure Show and Tell Online, which quickly found a keen audience and regular visitors to view the insightful and entertaining interviews and keep tabs on the latest trends in food and homes. While juggling her media commitments, Monty also loves being a mum to Baxter who was born in late 2011.
Monty got her start in radio driving around in Black Thunders, handing out cans of soft drink and ice creams. At the same time, and while studying PR at university, Monty and a couple of girlfriends produced and co-hosted a weekly community radio show You're Drunk. The innovative program ran for two years on youth station SYN FM and received an award for best comedy program.
She then took up a behind-the-scenes role assisting the producers on Mick Molloy's Tough Love and then Tony Martin's Get This, eventually making guest appearances on the show.
After realising her true passion was to be on air full time, Monty packed her bags and co-hosted the breakfast show with Matt Griffith on Star FM in Albury.
In 2008 she returned to Melbourne and teamed up with close friend Ryan Shelton to host a national Saturday morning show on Nova, Ryan and Monty.
2009 saw Ryan and Monty join up with old friend Michael Wipfli to become the new national Nova FM drive team Ryan, Monty and Wippa, heard in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane Adelaide and Perth each weekday from 4pm to 6pm.
In 2011 Monty joined Merrick Watts and Scott Dooley on the Nova 969 Breakfast show in Sydney before taking the reins of her own weekly national show, Saturday Morning Monty.
Known for her honest, fresh opinions and sense of fun, Monty has also appeared as a guest on well-known TV shows, including Talkin Bout Your Generation, The Project and The Circle. In 2013 Monty was rtickled pink about attending her first Logies Awards, and the chance to meet her hero Karl Stefanovic!
